In the absence of an air fryer accessory, use aluminum kitchen foil. Yes, you can put aluminum foil in your air fryer.

What you will need
You will need the following handful of ingredients to make this sweet salmon recipe in your air fryer.
Salmon fillets: substitute salmon with trout. Both fish have similar flavor profiles.
Honey: I recommend you use runny honey for ease when measuring. Substitute with maple syrup.
Soy sauce: I used dark soy sauce with reduced salt. You can also swap dark soy sauce for light soy sauce.
Smoked paprika: substitute with regular or hot paprika.
Garlic paste: I used garlic paste as it adheres to the fish nicely. You do not have to worry about it burning.
Chili paste: for a little bit of kick. Substitute with red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Olive oil: substitute with avocado or vegetable oil
Sesame seeds to serve
Lemon wedges to serve
How to make honey soy salmon in air fryer

Clean the fish: descale the salmon if need be. Pat it dry with a kitchen paper towel and place it in a ziploc bag or a shallow plastic bowl.
Marinade: Pour the marinade over the salmon, close the Ziploc bag, and gently massage the bag to coat the fish with the marinade. Marinate the salmon for 15-30 minutes.
Air fry: Once the fish is marinated, remove the salmon from the marinade and transfer it to a baking dish (skin side down) that will fit in your air fryer basket. Alternatively, line the air fryer basket with foil. Pour the marinade over the salmon.
