What you will need
Tomatoes: I used baby plum tomatoes, but you can use cherry tomatoes or any other tomatoes of your choice. Such as grape tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, Campari, and Roma tomatoes. Etc. Make sure they are still fresh and firm for a better outcome.
Garlic: For additional depth of flavor, I used one garlic clove for this recipe.
Italian seasoning: Add the Italian seasoning to flavor the tomatoes. Substitute the Italian seasoning with mixed herbs or Herbs de Provence.

How to make air fryer tomatoes
Preheating the oven for this recipe is unnecessary, especially if you would be cooking the tomatoes in a dish.
Slice the tomatoes into halves or wedges if using large tomatoes and place them in the baking dish you would be putting in the air fryer.
Add the roughly chopped garlic to the sliced tomatoes and season with Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and mix all to combine. If possible, ensure the sliced side faces up in the baking dish for better caramelization.
PS: Depending on the size of the baking sih you are using and the shape and size of your air fryer. You might not be able to fit all the tomatoes in one layer and that is totally fine. It will still cook beautifully to your liking.
Cook the tomatoes in the air fryer at 390F/190C for 12 minutes, stirring it halfway through if it was stacked before cooking.
Carefully remove the baking dish from the air fryer basket and serve the roasted tomatoes and garlic as desired. Garnish with fresh basil before serving. Enjoy
