Spicy mayo is a delicious and versatile condiment you want to have in your fridge at all times. It makes a perfect addition to burgers, sushi, sandwiches, wraps, dipping sauce for French fries, and more.
This is a quick and easy recipe you will love, let me show you how to make spicy mayo in two minutes.
Homemade spicy mayo
If you are looking for a mayonnaise-based dipping sauce, then this spicy mayo recipe is for you. It is as simple as it gets and all you need is a handful of ingredients and 2 minutes. This is an Asian-inspired recipe and it is not made with kewpie but mayonnaise which is easily available in shops.
Kewpie (Japanese mayo) is not easily found in the shops where I live but mayonnaise is everywhere and you can even make it at home yourself if you fancied.
You can make this condiment with just two ingredients, mayonnaise, and sriracha (hot chili) but I like to add either lime or lemon juice for an all-balanced flavor.
This sauce is thick, creamy, and delicious, if time is not of the essence, then keep the sauce in the fridge for a few minutes for the flavors to meld before serving. That said, it can be served immediately and it would still be delicious.
This recipe is
- Vegetarian but can be made vegan if you used vegan mayo
