Garlic Butter Chicken Wings

Ajoke
These garlic butter chicken wings are packed full of flavor and so easy to whip up. They only require a handful of ingredients and minimal prep work. They are also very economical, so you won't have to break the bank to make these flavorful chicken wings. They are tender, juicy, and fall off the bones.

Ingredients

  • 2.2 lb Chicken wings separated into winglets and drumettes
  • 4 ½ Tablespoons unsalted butter about 65g
  • teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ Tablespoon baking powder can not be substituted with baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 Garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons parsley finely chopped
  • Feta cheese crumbled optional
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken wings completely dry and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Add baking powder, lemon pepper seasoning, cajun seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and black pepper to the chicken wings and mix until well combined.
  • Preheat the air fryer or oven to 400F/ 200C. I cooked the wings in the air fryer.
  • Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket (or a baking rack if using the oven). It doesn't matter if they are touching as long as they are not overlapping.
  • Air fry the chicken wings for a total of 25 minutes or until fully cooked and crispy, flipping it halfway through the cooking time.
  • In the meantime, make the garlic butter sauce to meld the flavor before using it.
  • In a microwavable bowl, add butter and microwave for 30 seconds or until the butter is completely melted. Add the chopped garlic and finely chopped parsley and mix to combine.
  • Once the chicken wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the chicken wings and toss until they are well coated.
  • Garnish with extra parsley, crumbled feta cheese and lemon wedges if desired, and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes

How long to bake these in the oven
The chicken wings will take approximately 35-45 minutes to bake in the oven at 400F / 200C, depending on their size. To ensure even cooking, flip them halfway through the cooking time.
