Ingredients

  • 2 garlic bulbs
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil substitute with olive oil, avocado oil, or any other oil of choice
  • Salt to taste this is optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380F/190C, cut some aluminum foil sheets that will be enough for the number of garlic heads you will be air frying.
  • Peel the papery outer layer of a garlic head, using a sharp knife cut about ½ inches of the garlic head so that top of all the cloves is exposed. Place each garlic bulb on the prepared foil sheets
  • Drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the garlic, and then sprinkle with salt if using. Wrap the foil around the garlic tightly to form a parcel.
  • Place the wrapped garlic in the air fryer basket, and roast for 20-30 minutes or until the cloves are soft and lightly golden brown.
Let the roasted garlic cool slightly before squeezing out the cloves to use in your dishes.

Notes

Tips
  • Make herb-infused roasted garlic, you can add herbs such as fresh tarragon, thyme, dill, or rosemary to the garlic cloves before roasting for a delicious flavor profile.
  • Do not open the garlic pack quickly after roasting as the escaping steam will be very hot.
