Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 Bone-in Pork chops substitute for boneless pork chops
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened or at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped or use as desired
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Honey garlic sauce ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons runny Honey
  • tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 large garlic cloves chopped about ½ tablespoon
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch of chilli powder

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside
  • Followed by the honey garlic sauce, to a small bowl, add honey, minced garlic, dried sage, smoked paprika, chilli powder, apple cider vinegar and soy sauce and mix to combine then set aside.
  • Place a skillet on medium heat, add the olive oil and heat until hot or when the oil starts shimmering. Add the seasoned pork chops and sear until browned for 2 minutes on each side
  • Move the pork chops around in the skillet to create a well in the middle, then add the softened butter then move it around the skillet until melted. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the pork chops and continue to cook for another minute or 2 basting the pork chops with the sauce and flipping it once during this time.
  • Finally, this step is optional but recommended for a caramelised finish. Preheat the oven grill and broil for 1 to 3 minutes. Please note: the sauce might separate when grilled do not fret as this is completely fine.
  • Transfer the pork chops to a plate, sprinkle some chopped parsley over it and cover with a foil, rest the pork chops for at least 5 minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy

Notes

Tips to the best juicy and moist pork chops ever
Allow the meat to come to room temperature before cooking. i.e. bring it out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking so it comes to room temperature. That would allow the pork to cook evenly.
Not sure your pork is properly cooked, use a meat thermometer and the internal temperature should read 145F/62C
It is tempting to serve your meat immediately after cooking but please let this honey garlic pork chop rest between 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Trust me on this, you would thank me for it.
Don’t have a grill or an oven, don’t worry as you can make this pork chops on the stove top.
