2tablespoonfresh parsley chopped
1Avocado pulp about ⅓ cup
Salt and pepper to taste
Worcestershire sauce, optionaluse 1 tablespoon if using
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, gently mix together with your hands ground turkey, Cajun seasoning, egg, avocado, onion powder, parsley and salt. Do not overmix the ingredients so that the meat doesn’t come out tough. Form the mixture into equal 4 to 6 patties, depending on how thick you want them, then place on a plate whilst you preheat the air fryer. (Wet your palm with water to make it easy to form the patties)
Preheat the air fryer at 180C/360F for 3 minutes. Once the time is up, spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and carefully place the patties.
Cook the burgers for 15 to 20 minutes until cooked through depending on how thick the patties are. Flip the burgers halfway through the cooking time. Note: the internal temperature of a well-cooked turkey burger must register at least 165F/75C. This is when the meat is safe to eat.If you would be topping the burger with cheese, open the air fryer when the cooking cycle is completed, place the cheese slices on it and partially put the air fryer back without closing it so that the heat can melt the cheese.
Serve as desired on salad, or buns.
