2beef stock I used OXO but you can use any available to you
2tablespoonvegetable oil
½cuponions finely chopped
1teaspoongarlic paste
1cupSingle cream
1cupcheddar cheese
salt and pepper
Instructions
Heat oil in a pan large skillet or pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and saute until soft and translucent
Add ground beef, break it up and cook until brown. Then add the garlic paste, salt, black pepper, chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, crumble the beef stock cubes over and stir to combine. Pour the passata over the browned beef, stir to combine and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes
In the meantime, cook pasta in salted water according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside, if you cooked the pasta before cooking the sauce, add about a tablespoon of oil to the pasta, this stops it from sticking together. Reserve about a cup of pasta water for later.
Stir the cream into the cooked ground beef sauce, add grated cheese if using and stir until the cheese completely melts into the sauce. Taste and adjust salt and seasoning accordingly
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, stir to combine and cook for another minute just until fully combined. Take it off the heat and serve on its own or with some salad and homemade garlic bread.
