Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ lb baby spinach
  • 2 large garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and saute until soft and fragrant say 30 seconds to 1 minute. Do keep an eye so that the garlic does not burn.
  • Add in baby spinach leaves, it is ok to pile the spinach, don't worry it wilts quickly. Add salt, pepper and chili flakes then continue to turn the spinach until it is completely wilted and the spinach is bright green. The whole process should take less than 5 minutes, try not to overcook the vegetable so as not to lose its nutritional value.
