30gmelted unsalted butter
1Lemon sliced
Salt to taste
black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer at 200C/400F for 5 minutes.
Pat the cod fillets dry so it is moist-free. Season the fish generously with salt and black pepper then brush the melted butter on one side of the fish
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the cod fillet/loin in the air fryer basket buttered side down making sure they are not touching. Brush the remaining butter on top of the fish, add one lemon slice each to the fish
Cook for 10 minutes, carefully remove the fish and transfer to a plate. Serve with lemon butter sauce, roasted potatoes and veggies and enjoy!

Tips
Check on the cod earlier than the time specified for this recipe so as not to overcook the fish. Remember, the thickness of your fish would determine how long it cooks in an air fryer. see the timing on this recipe as a guide. A good starting point to start checking on the fish is from 6 minutes.
As with the majority of air fryer recipes, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket so as to allow the food to cook evenly.
Customise the seasoning to taste.
Let the cod come to room temperature a few minutes before you cook for accurate cooking. The temperature of cooked fish should register at 145F/62C.
Do not leave the fish in the air fryer once the cooking is completed otherwise the fish would overcook and maybe even dry out.
