How to make garlic butter

In order to make the best out of this recipe, use quality butter. Also, it is important that the butter is softened at room temperature.

Finely chop or mince the garlic and parsley

To a bowl add softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley and mix to combine with a fork, spatula, or hand mixer.

Transfer the flavored butter to parchment paper then roll it into a log and twist it at both ends to seal like you would with a candy wrapper.

Place it in the fridge until needed, keep it in the fridge for up to 1 week and up to 6 months in the freezer.

How to soften butter quickly

The quickest way to soften butter is to pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, say 5 seconds, however, the downside is that you need to be mindful as it can quickly turn to a pool of butter if left in the microwave for too long.

Another way to soften butter is at room temperature (18C/65F), in fact, this is the most effective and best way if timed properly. All you have to do is bring out the butter from the fridge 1-2 hours before you will be needing it. softened butter should be easily spreadable and not greasy.
