How to make oven baked pork chops

Pat the pork chops dry with a kitchen towel and place on a baking tray. Season the pork with salt and peppers and set aside
To a bowl, add extra virgin olive oil, fennel seeds, oregano, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar and mix together to combine to form a marinade.
Rub the marinade on the sides of the pork. Drizzle with about a tablespoon of olive oil and bake in the oven uncovered for 10 minutes. Bring the pork chops out of the oven, flip sides and baste with the pan juice. Return the pan into the oven and continue to bake for another 7 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 165F.

How long should I bake pork chops
My best opinion is you let the thickness of the meat guide you. Mine was a little bit less than an inch and that was why I did not grill so as to not overcook it.
For 1-inch size pork, cook between 17 to 20 minutes at 400F/200C for a conventional oven or 180C/360F for a fan oven. For boneless pork chops, start checking from 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145F/62C
What to serve this recipe with
For a complete healthy meal, I like to serve pork chops with sauteed green beans (recipe coming soon) steamed broccoli or carrots and baked potato wedges.
Other serving suggestions include
Mac and cheese and I have just the right recipe for you.
Super creamy coleslaw
Roasted broccoli and cauliflower
Tips
- Let the thickness of the pork guide you on how long you bake them for. If the pork thickness is not up to an inch, then cook the pork lesser than specified in this recipe.
- For more caramelised finish, place the pork under the grill/broil for few minutes before serving.
- For optimum flavour, marinade this pork chop for about 30 minutes or overnight preferably. You can double this recipe if using more than 4 pork chops.

Delicious! My family was actually sucking on the bones LOL I didn't have brown sugar so I ended up using Splenda, but it did not phase them at all. I will definitely put this in my dinner rotation. Thank you for sharing.

Delicious! I served with roasted vegetables and potatoes. I prepared it as directed, then put the pork, potato slices and veggies on olive oil on one cookie sheet in the oven. Quick, delicious, healthy meal after work for the family. I used boneless pork chops. Can’t wait to try more from Ajoke! Thank you!
