Butter: I used unsalted butter, if using salted butter make sure to adjust the overall salt that will be added accordingly. You are not allowed to scrimp on butter here, use good quality butter only for this recipe. The flavor and taste are what make the sauce amazing and this can’t be compromised by using cheap butter.

Fresh parsley

Mustard: use wholegrain mustard, English or dijon mustard

Garlic granules

Smoked paprika

Red pepper flakes

Lemon juice and lemon zest

How to make cowboy dipping butter sauce

Add the cubed butter to a small mixing bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the butter has melted.

To the melted butter, add mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic granules, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and chopped parsley.

Whisk to combine, taste, and adjust seasoning accordingly. Add black pepper and salt only if needed, I added salt to taste since I am using unsalted butter.
