Coffee smoothie! If you are looking for the best morning smoothie, this is it. This instant banana coffee smoothie is creamy, healthy, energising and packed full of flavour. It is super easy and comes together under 10 minutes.

    Easy coffee smoothie Recipe

Hey lovelies, today I am showing you how to make the best coffee smoothie that is perfect for any time of the day just like this iced coffee. I prefer drinking it in the morning for breakfast, it is a good pick me up to face the day ahead.

I like to add coffee ice cubes to my coffee smoothie as it gives the smoothie a better texture and taste as opposed to using cold coffee. With coffee cubes, you enjoy the taste of fresh coffee to the last sip, no one wants to be sipping down on a watered-down or glorified iced smoothie.

a glass of smoothie and a banana.

Making ice cubes is extremely easy and it can be made with fresh or instant coffee. I mostly freeze some of my cold brew for this but I have been known to use instant coffee too.

If you know what you are doing with coffee then you know you can make some great tasting coffee with instant coffee granules. This instant iced coffee is a testament to that, it has over 600k views, 18k likes and great feedback to prove it.

Brew a cup of coffee, freshly ground or instant like you normally would in the strength you like it. Leave it to cool completely then pour into an ice tray. Place it in the freezer for up to 4 hours or overnight (which is better) and use accordingly.

    Tips

    • use any favourite coffee of choice e.g. instant coffee, espresso etc
    • You can make this smoothie without banana, skip it if it is not for you.
    • Make this recipe vegan by using plant-based milk and nut-butter of choice. Almond milk and soya milk are popular options. Coconut milk or water might affect the taste of the coffee significantly
    • You can use a frozen banana if you don't want to freeze the coffee
    • Not a coffee head, swap caffeinated coffee for decaffeinated one.
