Quick Cooking Time: Ready in under 10 minutes from prep to finish, making it perfect for a busy weeknight.
Healthy: It uses minimal oil while retaining all the flavors and nutrients. More importantly. This fish is high in protein and low in calories.
Versatile: Sea bass is a light, mildly flavored fish that will take on any seasoning profile you want. I used Cajun seasoning and parsley, but you can use any other seasoning you prefer.
Deliciously Crispy: The air fryer ensures crispy skin while keeping the fleshy bit tender and flaky.
Simple Ingredients: No need for a long shopping list—most ingredients are pantry staples.

What You Will Need
2 sea bass fillets
Avocado oil
Freshly ground black pepper
Coarse sea salt: I prefer using coarse sea salt as opposed to a fine one so that I don't oversalt the fish.
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon dried parsley
Fresh lemon juice (for serving)
How to Make Air Fryer Sea Bass
Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat while you prepare the sea bass.
Prepare and season the fish: Pat the sea bass fillets dry with a kitchen paper towel to remove excess moisture. Drizzle and brush a light coating of avocado oil on the fleshy sides of the fish.
Season the fillets with coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and ½ teaspoon of dried parsley evenly over the fillets.
Air fry the Sea BassAir-fry the Sea Bass: Carefully place the seasoned sea bass fillets skin side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5-6 minutes. There’s no need to flip the fish during cooking. If you want the skin of the fish to be crispier, flip it at 4-5 minutes. You will know the fish is cooked when it flakes easily with a fork and is opaque.
NB: If you are using a Chilean sea bass, cook it for 12-15 minutes, as it is thicker than the common sea bass.
Serve and enjoy: Carefully remove the cooked sea bass from the air fryer and transfer it to a plate. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the fillets for a burst of flavor. Serve immediately with sides of your choice, and enjoy your restaurant-quality meal at home.

Hi Ajoke,
That looks and sounds delicious! I don’t have an air fryer, but my parents do and I KNOW that they will love this. The only problem with that is that they live 60 miles away in Yorkshire!
I do visit frequently so I will have to up the recipe to 3 servings.
I hope it’s a tad warmer and drier where you are than it is here in not-so-sunny Cheshire!
All the best,
Paul 🙂
