Why you will love this recipe

Lamb steaks make for a delicious and easy meal, especially when cooked in an air fryer. The simple marinade (rosemary and garlic) enhances the natural flavors of the lamb and creates a tender and juicy steak.

There is no need to use many ingredients when seasoning lamb. It is naturally flavourful and whatever seasoning you add to it should enhance the flavor and not overpower it. It is important that you let the flavor from the lamb shine through

How to serve it

I like to serve it with roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, mint sauce and gravy. If I feel extra fancy, I serve it like gyros in pitta bread/flatbread with tzatziki sauce, onions, and tomatoes.

Tips

Save the pan dripping for gravy. It is so delicious!

Season the lamb with other spices and herbs. Spices such as cumin, rosemary, mint, and coriander work well with lamb.

Do not overcook the lamb. Medium rare is just perfect for this flavorful meat.

You can use frozen lamb steaks for this recipe. Follow my air fryer frozen steak recipe and adjust the time accordingly. Also, it would be very handy to have a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the lamb. It should be at least 145F/63C for medium rare.

How to store

Store any leftover lamb steaks in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months in the freezer, tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and foil before putting it in a ziploc bag.
